# Is GitHub Actions down?

> Independent GitHub Actions status from official GitHub incidents and an approximate visitor-interest signal. Public read-only API and MCP; no authentication.

Fetch the live API or MCP tool for a current answer. This document does not contain live status.
Yes means an unresolved incident explicitly affecting Actions, including investigating, identified, and monitoring.
Probably means an official component disruption without an incident, or a sustained visitor surge. Traffic alone is not confirmation.
No means GitHub reports Actions operational and there is no qualifying visitor surge, not a guarantee about an individual workflow.
Always report freshness and checkedAt. Stale results are last-known observations; a null answer means unable to verify. Never treat either as current confirmation.
MCP tool: get_github_actions_status. Input: an empty object. Transport: Streamable HTTP. No sign-in or API key.
API and MCP return the same typed assessment. Poll at most once per 30 seconds. Agent calls never affect visitor interest.
